the ratio is the amount of something there is compared to the amount of another thing there is. The ratio would be 1:1 1/2. you still need to simplify it though, so you would divide. if you divide the amount of apple juice by 2 you get 1/2, then since you divided your amount of apple juice by 2 you must do the same to the orange juice which would give you 3/4. Therefor you would be left with a ratio of 1/2:3/4. (converted to a decimal it is 0.5:0.75
