in 1867, the federal government appointed the Indian Peace Commission

this recommended Native Americans moving to reservations

so not only did the white settlers whipe out their only food source, they also made them move from their land

when the people refused to move, they went to battle

the battle was eventually ended at a creek called Wounded Knee

   there are many reasons:

they were a main food source, and kept many people from starving

they used their furs for clothing and shelter

   bones were used for tools

in conclusion, the conflict between the Native America

The Native American view the Buffalo as a sacred animal. When people began to slaughter the Buffalo, they almost became extinct. They had created  over 50 uses for this animal from food to clothing and shelter. The greed of the white settlers and armies, however, destroyed this source of life for them. The White settlers saw the buffalo as money and did not care about the Native Americans' well being.
