The cloudy weather has more heat retention quality and at night time the temperature is higher because the clouds does not allows the heat to go out of the atmosphere. The clear sky allows the heat to fall on the earth without hindrance and the same heat escapes at night making the temperature low. But due to clouds the the phenomenon completely opposite, the clouds does not allows the heat to escape at night and does not allows more heat to fall on the earth at daytime.
