7. Which of the rules did Jonas find most shocking, and difficult to understand? After
thinking about this rule he had a new thought that was frightening. What frightened him

Answer: I think the last rule

Explanation:  The last rule is the most unnerving, though: "You may lie." No one in the community was EVER allowed to lie. This makes Jonas wonder, however, how many other people received this same rule, and how many people did actually lie.

Answer:

  • He feared for the stability and having the normal sense of peace in his life, as he reminds of the times when there were jets flying over the community and there was sense of fear among the hearts of those who were running back to there houses for fear of life they had.
  • For, Jonas he can never forget the fear that he had once and that he also was one of those who left there belongings and ran for a hide order to survive.
