A perspective would view the reparations and apologies provided to Japanese-Americans years after the WWII relocation camps were closed as a way of maintaining stability and peace among the relations between a minority group and the U.S. government.
A perspective would view the racial profiling of Muslim-Americans in airport security checks and the internment of Japanese-Americans as examples of institutional discrimination in which the dominant group subjugates a minority group in the interest of national security.

It sees the society as complex system in which the parts of the society work together tin order to promote stability as well as solidarity. Macro-level orientation is used in this approach to look at the society. It focuses on social structures which shape the society as a whole.

The conflict perspective:-

It is the view of the society which posits varying conflicts as the normal feature of the social life. According to this, conflicts in the society influences the distribution of the power as well as the magnitude and the direction of the social change.
