there are 16 tablespoons in 1 cup and 3 tablespoons in 1 tablespoons.A recipe calls for 1/2 cup of sugar,but Ali only has a teaspoon to measure her ingredients

The question is a little wrong. It should be “3 teaspoons for 1 tablespoon.” With that said, since you need only 1/2 cup, you can divide 16 by 2 and get 8. You then multiply 8 by 3 and get 24. So, you need 24 teaspoons for 1/2 cup of sugar.

For only having tablespoons, you would need 24 of them to measure the same amount as 1/2 a cup would be
