What is the correct algebraic expression of the following statement?

The product of two consecutive integers.

x(x + 1)

x(x + 2)

x(x + 3)

x(x2)

Respuesta :

The answer is x(x + 1). Product means to multiply. In this equation x is being multiplied with the brackets. Consecutive means that the number would be right after the other so it would be x + 1. For example say x was 3. A consecutive integer would be 4. So to check the answer 3(3+1)=3x4.
