Nila, a young girl of 14 is a student of class 9 of Noapara Girls’ High school, Noapara. She was a poor girl but had an aspiration to help her family for a better life. On her way to school, a boy named Alam used to tease her very often. But she didn’t get frustrated rather. Rather she used to ignore him.
She thought maybe someday Alam would realize that what he was doing was wrong. She didn’t have the time to face him anyway as she was more concerned about her future. The boy did not change his behavior.
One day, when she had had enough, and decided to talk to Alam. She asked him the reason for teasing her every day. The boy did not know how to answer. She told him about her family and the hardships they face every day. He said nothing and ran away.
The next day some other boys came to tease her and just as she reached there Alam fought them and they ran away. He told Nila he understood her struggles and told about his own problems. The two of them started to help each other. Nila helped him with his studies and he became a bright student too. In this way, they both became friends.
