no, they shouldn't. This ties onto the concept of cancel culture, which is so extremely toxic. Not only does cancel culture bash people for past mistakes but it also holds them accountable, which leads to them not even having a chance to change cause they're always reminded of their past. People have received death threats cause of things that had happened years ago. This doesn't mean let things slide like idiots, but it goes way over the top. Its to the point that children get canceled, and no one can say anything on social media without getting some sort of complaint. This effects peoples mental health and can drive to self harm and other negative effects. It just makes social media a negative environment and this is the main reason why social media is seen in such a negative way. Its still good when it comes to horrible people that need to be gone from social media, but if its just one tweet made and the person apologized then no one should be canceled or reminded of it. it should only come into affect when they constantly and openly do things that are racist, sexist, or just wrong in general. That's when cancel culture should be put into use
