For me, two reasons the Bill of Rights is important is because it guarantees my freedom of speech and my freedom of religion. These are two freedoms not guaranteed in many parts of the world today and we often fail to realize how dramatic their impact is on our society. Freedom of speech enables me to come on here and answer these questions without fear of saying something that might offend the government. Freedom of religion (even for those who believe in no religion!) allows me to think how I want to and believe what I truly believe.
