Reading bedtime stories to children is an important task in many families.  getting children into pajamas, tucked into bed, and then to sleep part of reading the bedtime story is an instrumental task.

Sleep is an essential function, resting your body and mind so that you wake up feeling refreshed. Healthy sleep also helps your body stay healthy and fight disease. If you don't get enough sleep, your brain won't function properly.

Good sleep improves brain power, mood, and health. Not getting enough quality sleep on a regular basis increases the risk of many diseases and disorders. These range from heart disease and stroke to obesity and dementia. Getting a good night's sleep is more than just spending hours in bed.

Some of the most serious problems associated with chronic sleep deprivation include high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, congestive heart failure, and stroke. Other potential problems include obesity, depression, a weakened immune system, and low libido.
