The Fryer-Edidin experiment proved that membranes heve fluidity and flexibility in them due to the movement of protein within cells membranes. The experiment showed that two cells are fused have they membrane proteins diffused around the membrane and mingle rather than being locked in only one area of the plasm membrane. Therefore, the alternative that is closer to the results of Frye-Edidin experement is the letter E. All proteins in the plasma membrane are laterally mobile (and can move in the membrane area).
