Americans often lead stressful lives. The stresses come from work, school, family and social pressures. The long term effects of stress contribute to different illnesses. Consequently, healthcare professionals recommend that we reduce our stress levels as much as possible. From your own experiences, what seem to be the most effective ways of dealing with and reducing stress?

From MY experience, I prefer to just calm down, and take a HUGE BREATH. For example, let's say you are a child, and are having problems with your mother always yelling at you for no reason, or something like that, (Totally not an example of me or anyone I know) I would, (I MEAN THEY WOULD) probably get angry, and start to yell back. But insted of doing that, I would stop mid-scream and think to myself "It's not worth it." and just take a HUGE BREATH. And then proceedby agreeing with everything she said. This is a long example I know, but you can shorten it, or put it in your own words if neccessary. Hope I helped!
