A hyperactive child cannot sit patiently, talks excessively, and is always restless whereas, an impulsive individual would interrupt others and find it difficult while waiting for his or her turn.
The causes of ADHD might be a chemical imbalance, heredity, poor nutrition, smoking, infections, drinking, accumulation of toxins, and brain changes. The children with ADHD have less active areas in the brain which are associated with controlling attention. All the other causes affect the development of the brain. This is the reason individuals with ADHD also show symptoms of learning disabilities as it also a mental disorder that interferes with the reading and writing abilities of a person which requires attention.
Learning disabilities might also interfere in skills like time planning, organization, memory, and attention. These disabilities can affect a person’s academic life as well as relationships with friends, colleagues, and family. It is also called a hidden disability as the person affected looks normal and intelligent but unable to showcase skills expected from a person with a similar age. This disability is lifelong challenge as it cannot be cured. The examples of learning disabilities are dysgraphia and dyslexia which affects writing and reading abilities, respectively.
