The Metamorphosis could be considered a comedy because the story:

A.contains ridiculous elements like Gregor scurrying around the room.
B.explains Gregor's transformation using only the third-person limited perspective.
C.effectively shows the reader how isolated Gregor becomes.
D.shows that Gregor's life was lonely and unfulfilling before he became a bug.

The only thing that would make sense to answer would be A. so I'm going with that one. Gregor scurrying around the room could be considered comedic but, anything else on that list I do not find comedic in the slightest and doubt anyone else would, for those are just regular traits of any book you can find. D. might even be considered a little sad.
