What is the purpose of the Transitions ribbon and and feature ?

A. Add actions between slide
B. Add links to other slides
C. Add cartoons clips to other slides

In MS Powerpoint, the transition ribbon is to add those fun looking transition when you're moving from one slide to the next. You know like "Vortex" and "Dissolve". those are transitions and are found under the transition ribbon.
