if a person cuts his or her finger, eventually the cut will heal and the skin will be whole again. how does the gap created by the cut be filled?

Well around the cut the body forms a blood clot which will eventually stop bleeding and if you don’t pick at it skin will grow over the cut
It is filled with blood and stop the bleeding, causing a temporary fix. Hope this helps! Happy Easter!
