Students are painting a mural. So far, the mural is painted 1/4 blue, 2/8 red, and 3/12 green. Use fraction strips to determine how much of the mural has been painted. Tell the fractions you use to solve

The mural is painted as follow :

blue = 1/4
red   = 2/8 = 1/4
green = 3 /12 = 1/4

so, Total = 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 = 3/4
which mean the quantity of mural that has been painted = 3/4 = 0.75 = 75%
